About 'The Velvet Glove'
'The Velvet Glove' is principally aimed at, and written for, the online Dippy community. This means that I am aiming to publicise the positive aspects of online, web-based Diplomacy as well as Diplomacy, the King of Games, itself.
However, this isn't the only reason I'm producing the zine. It would be a very niche zine of that was the case! I also want to include the wider Dip Hobby in this and I hope members of that community will enjoy reading and contributing to TVG too. As I have said on the forum I created, the World Diplomacy Forum, I think all aspects of the Dip Hobby can gain something by working together.
So I don't intend TVG to be exclusively about the online game. I want it to have a wider base but there are other great zines out there that are targetted at the established Dip communities. You can see these on the Dip Links pages. The two flagship zines are Diplomacy World and The Diplomatic Pouch. Give them a read! (I'm also the Online Resources editor for DP.)
So please feel free to read and contribute to TVG whatever your interest in Diplomacy. I hope you enjoy it.
